At Seashore...

At Seashore...

Strange enchantments from cold afternoons
sad afternoons at the seashore.
Wild regions gloomy plains
Prayers in the land sighs on air.
In top - stars remembering wax candles
Below - candles fluttering
Wax candles lighted silvery lilies
lilies that night defoliates.
Purple and gold in the rocky places
Fogs and ash covering sea
seagulls passes of slender and
coy beating wings.
Hard coconut palms in the cold sand
High, manorial palms trees
Have the slenderness, it has the slenderness
Of medieval little princess.
Tearful waves are balls of thread
In the white sand to unroll
What obscure dreams what nightmares
immense vain sea torture?...
The moon floats for the back
For the sea green
It will be a sadness, it will be a remorse
What does the wave smooth down?
Sobs mourn like elegies
Like sonatas in D minor
Echo of all anguishes
That sea knows by heart.
Echo of all the death-rattles
Of those who died in the sea
Deep longings and deep pains
that tries to remember...
Song of the foam, song of the waves,
Complaints that injures like daggers
Crying laments vague anguishes
Oh! So many things to remind!

Wild regions, gloomy plains
Prayers in the land sigh on air
What strange enchantment in cold afternoons
In the sad afternoons at seashore!
